Yay!! 2010 is here! I spent it at home watching the TV for the low down on how the celebrations to bring in the New Year, which kinda is the same thing each year: Fireworks, concerts, screaming, shouting, fake snow :S , and mostly repeats of each person's new year's resolution...But hey~I'm only in it for the fireworks. Wisely decided to only step out of the house on New Year's DAY (yesterday of course) cause lucky lucky for me and to all the other "wise" people out there, the majority of the NYE revellers would have been sleeping in (as expected) and possibly nursing wonderful hangovers and trying to figure out where the hell they are at around mid-day. So HURRAH! the roads were rather clear at 10:30 am on the way to the CURVE :D cuz well the 1U roads are always a bitch to get in any time of the day really~

Its kinda scaring me how fast time really IS flying, I mean a month has already passed me by and i'm left standing with what's left of my holiday and time in KL. Freaks me out~ AND also leaves me with a nasty feeling of dread when "THE DAY" arrives for me to lug my sorry butt of to Melbourne (ahh...depressing as that sounds, it is the sad, sad truth)

Anyways speaking about Truths...Like the usual fangirl that I am, I've found reason again (yes, again) why I love my boys W-inds...Check out their video here and you'll understand all of a sudden why I envy my HK counterparts. And just a wee bit of info for those who don't care about Japanese Music, apparently (undenied truth) this song was written for W-inds by NE-YO (you heard me, its written by that cool chocolate man who is coming down to perform soon in KL this month!!)

All in all, the year 2009 has come to a rather wonderful close, brimming cheerfully with memories of sheer joy & stress and also marked by many famous milestones that shook the world right till the very end!! But that's what Life is made out off!! Kinda having a nostalgic moment here! I'm happy to make such wonderful new friends in Uni as well as having spent more time with the wonderful people i've befriended in my year at Trinity College 2008 :) I hope and pray that we'll all get to spend more wonderful moments in our lives together.

And to my fantastic friends in Malaysia, whom I've known since the beginning of time itself, Thank you so much and I love you guys so so so so much :) I know will always create more crazy and special memories together for a long time :)

And I have to say that my final year as a teenager, ain't as bad as it seems, My teen years were and are the best times in my life :) thanks to all of the people in my life ^_^v

May 2010 Bring out more of the Best in Us~ May the World hopefully become more of a better place too :)

I was at the very same place I choose to leave Melbourne again :) Anyways I've been home for about 3 days now~ and its been awesome so far!! Yesterday I went to get a haircut...and haahaha end product...one word mushroom! oh and i was out with a few of the people I've missed quite alot (you know who u are <3)

Catching up with Primary school friends on FB is fun~ one of the really food benefits of FB :D

Super egg-cited for CF 2009 :) yay its next weekend~ about time i went to have fun! oh oh oh should probably get back to room-cleaning....i seem to have the original Weebo vacuuming the floor...its older than me XD

I'M BLOODY FINISHED WITH CLIMATE CHANGE!! ITS OVER!! GOOD RIDDANCE!!
now its just only Japanese left >< and I haven't touched any from it!! oh no...possibility of failing is pretty high. Hiyahhh~ I don't wanna do exams anymore. Doing them is so exhausting. Not only that, so many people have gone home already :( so depressing!! I mean there are people who have finished papers two weeks before and have head home so fast its completely...frustrating. I really can't wait to go home. and i'm moving out too anyway~ I'm still pretty much homeless for next year though XD its kinda interesting knowing that (I know I should be panicking...hahah but I'm not)

I wanna go back and have fun with all of my favourite favourite people that I love >< I miss them so much :( oh and Yen is coming back this Saturday~ Yiippee! I have to go out with her again :D

Anyways~ AFA 09 looked so good!! I feel like I missed so many things this year.. like how I'm telling Annie-kins right now :( Ahh well hopefully there'll be a next time soon :)

PSYCHOLOGY IS OVER FOR THE YEAR!!

You have no idea how that feels, and I should not not not not be procrastinating now! I've got 2 more exams next week, Introduction to Climate Change (yes, that IS the subject I took as deluded as it sounds it literally is that!) and Japanese 2B.I'm absolutely positive that I'm not looking forward to both of them D:

And I've got to pack...and move..and pack somemore...cut bills..stay somewhere for a week before I leave for home and....FIND A GODDAMN PLACE TO STAY NEXT YEAR...or I could stick with my bridge plans :D

And I've changed my blog skin again...and I stupidly forgot to save my previous HTML codes so I had to do the ultra tedious job of looking for the Bloglinks of friends blogs, and my other junk....as believe it or not I have not changed the skin since November 2008!! as much as I'm perplexed, I'm just wondering how I stayed with the same skin for a year!! :s

Alright I gotta go and cook my dinner and of course, STUDY STUDY STUDY!!

Hello all! Its been quite a long time hasn't it...I sincerely doubt anybody reads my blog anymore (note: the quite dead cbox) but then again most of the readers (myself included) are either having exams or have been buried under piles & piles of assignments.

First of All I'd like to wish MAO AND JOANNA A HAPPY BIRTHDAY! and also Happy Birthday to Kelly!! who turn 18, 19 & 19 respectively! ~~(my arse off)~~ for my finals..Oh and by the way don't you think that the First Year of Uni has flown by so fast??? I still can't wrap around the fact that I'll be a 2nd year next year....but anyway, for the moment I'm really really really really in need of excellent marks cuz haahaha, Semester 1, not good at all :P

All in all, semester 2 has been pretty awesome, you sorta get into the swing of things in Uni at this stage....and re-enrollments for next years subs is all done...I'm dreading the essay load for next year..but for now need to concentrate on upcoming finals!!

And something of topic, last week was Halloween :3 sadly not very well celebrated here in Australia, quite surprising...maybe its in the burbs....So anyways Momo decided we should draw stuff and I drew this (look down):: IMO its not very good, I haven't doodled in a very long time, properly doodled, I DO doodle in lectures still ;)

and momo's one is on her blog, cuz I had to go to bed by the time she was done (stupid time differences)

and I'm a tad bit late uploading/scanning this in, but better late than never! Its based on our Livly pets, I murdered mine by starving it, had to get a new one :s so here it is :)

Such an awesome day today!! The WEATHER, (yes, the weather) was amazing!! I went out with Henrik and Yen.. and Henrik took us to the most amazingly undisclosed little cafe in the most undisclosed alley in the CBD....

Here's possibly one of the few reasons of why I like Melbourne:

Cafe Giraffe

We were seated under this centre-piece of a tree in the cafe :)

Its so beautiful! Full of knick-knacks and bric-a-brac~ I was just blown away by how light and artsy it was!

The far side of the wall, lined with mirrors, pictures and shelves of antiquities!
I told Yen, that if the cafe was situated near some peak near some ocean, I would gladly die of happiness.

I didn't get to go in this section (although I could) but its filled with chairs, an antique typewriter, a vinyl disc player. This shelf is full of jars of sweet things, Parisian objects and bounded books.

Before I left, there was a basket of two bunnies and a bunch of flowers.

Henrik got me the business card, the cafe is run by a young HK lady and her Korean boyfriend, who apparently designed the concept of the cafe. Yen and I, think it would be really cool to have worked there.

Oh, and the food there is really really good to eat! Simple but scrumptious!!

Manifest 2009

Hey all~

Long time no update eh?? well..I'm a wee bit swamped by Uni work, so forgive me ね~? but that's beside the point..So last weekend on Saturday, me, Yen, Wei Hao and Nicks decided to attend Manifest 2009, which is sorta like Melbourne's largest anime fest, just like Malaysia has their Comic Fiesta...

So me and yen thought it'll be nice dressing up a little for the occasion~ so we wore yukata's :) Pretty right??

and we wore it onto PUBLIC TRANSPORT!! XD interesting experience..alot of ladies kept asking about the material :) they were so nice <3>

I also met Caroline and her siblings there at Manifest.. That's Steph~ She's partially cosplaying this character from a game I can't quite recall...I'm bad at names XD She's so cute here anyway~

Oh well, basically the trader's hall was slightly disappointing compared to last year's Manifest~ but there was this one spectacular artist there. She had amazing prints..but I didn't purchase any :( Kinda broke-ish that day..

And the wind was ghastly!! bloody strong =_= so damn cold too...Brr....

But all in all I loved the cosplayers the most~ they were so dedicated in making their costumes...some amazingly did it in 5 days -_____-lll ..yeah...SERIOUSLY!!

It had a host club too the event...but i didn't really go in~ I was busy looking around for "stuff"....Hahaha

It certainly gets to a point where I've ceased becoming excited about anything recently. I mean, Melbourne is boredom served up on a silver platter. Sure, you could say its far better than most of the other Australian cities, apart from Sydney, but right now, I really really wish that I was back home. Home meaning Malaysia.

As far as I'm concerned, my "friends" are turning into subject readers, the internet, the LMS, the television, the laptop and the Internet.

Seriously, I have nothing, absolutely nothing, to do after classes!! I wish I could tear my eyes out or something like that (but not as gory as it is), because my days are turning into some kind of warp schedule. Its a terrible feeling.

and I'm complaining again, but I have every right too.

Timetable:

Wake up, Go to Uni, Come Back to Uni, Stay at home (Fermentation hours), Cook, Sleep.

The only thing that changes in the clockwork timetable is the food I cook.

I need to learn how to blog better~

Muahahaha Today I woke up and decided to make Bibimbap! Which is basically one of my most favourite Korean food, apart from Kimchi XD

I learnt how to make this Thanks to Maangchi's Korean Recipe & Video (Click Here)

And I'm glad to say it turned out great ^^v

My cooked ingredients of bean sprouts, zucchini, spinach, minced beef, carrots and shitake mushrooms.

and not forgetting Kosari, a kind of Korean native vegetable~

End of the holiday turns and Uni has begun~

Hellooooo~

I'M BACK!! well its not like I went anywhere anyway~

So HOLIDAYS HAVE OFFICIALLY ENDED (booooooooooooooo!!) and Uni has begun again (Double booooooooo!!)

But its great having to see my lovable friends again since they've all arrived back in Melb :) which makes me happy...JJ you very funny come back at 7 am yesterday just in time for Uni classes to begin~ its like some kind of jet-setter lifestyle~ lol

So anyways I went to a number places during the holidays which made my very ultra boring holidays tolerable...
Apart from making things and FB-ing and MSN-ing...yes it can get very boring and finding a job ain't a walk in the park (finiancial crisis singing~)

So anyways during Week 2 of holidays, me and Caroline decided to go visit Sarah for some file tradings ( music/movies/tv series) before she went of to Wooroongata (or smtg like that) for her 6-month long inter-state Med-course...Good luck to her with that~

Her house was at Macedon (an hr from the CBD), which is like a countrytown area near Mt. Macedon (its not too far in the distance). Amazing house with two horses and a lovable greyhound to boot!

It was such a desolate and quiet train stop we got off at...Kept asking Caroline where we were...hahahaha

Lol too bad i didn't take pics of her horses, or her dog or the house~ I bet Yen would have like those horses...probably kill me to get her there somehow :P

And last week I decided I would like to end my final holiday week by going to visit my Monash friends at their HUGE Clayton campus...I say HUGE because it physically is 1.5 times bigger than the Melb Uni campus...

I went to Jun's place first and we took a bus to Monash~ Lucky girl...she's in the Arts course and the Arts building is nearest to the bus stop, can't say much about the Science stream people though ;p..

It was a sunny day!!

BUS AREA!! SO MANY BUS STOPS...there was a taxi stand too with taxi's waiting~

Apparently that tall building between those trees is the Tallest Building on the Clayton Campus and is kinda infamously known to sort of SWAY (as in MOVE) during strong windy days.....that is not a good thing!

Isn't this awesome (and totally unfair to me) the Monash kids get this Awesome looking Japanese Student Centre as a place to learn Jap ( I think) and its got some Manga library too, sadly it was closed the day I went ): ..ah well next time then..

Oh and what else is absolutely fantastic in Monash is that they actually have a basement area for students during the free periods to allow them to play in the few allocated piano rooms and an ARCADE!! the arcade has virtual gaming consoles and a number of Billiard table!! SO COOL!!

wierdly (but not surprising) is that Jeff and Jim had no idea it existed (dumb asses) until Jun showed us (technically for Me) around campus...

Muahahahahahha thats still not fair~

and yeah I decided to embark on some insane project of making a birthday card for a person I've never met~ amazingly ridiculous concept but its pretty interesting for me anyway~

Its for a band member of this group known as Royal Pirates, who have made an impressionable amount of fame on YouTube and most of the internet world due to many of their Rock covers of famous korean and american songsl, as well as their original pieces.

こんぴんちわ~

hehehe the holidays have started being a bore~ but lots of people are coming back this week :)

But last week was pretty interesting ^^.. I decided to go to my friend's house in Springvale.
Her mom made the most awesomest Vietnamese pancake!!!! :) I was such a glutton, kept eating :( felt baddddd~ hahah her mom and dad were cute, her bro was shy and her sis was gaming away on the DS...but they were all nicee :3

THEY HAVE 3 WIDE SCREEN TVS In that very small house of theirs!!! すごくよ! and a PS3, Carrie was so nicee~ she let me try out most of her games!!...I love KATAMARI...wahahahah and we're gonna go bonkers over FF XIII when it comes out~~ <3 drool worthy characters !!

Baked a batch of cupcakes to give them ~ apparently they all have a strong sweet tooth...this was before the icing went on....the icing..hehehe. just says DIABETES Immediately~

They kept asking me if I liked Fish Sauce and whether I could eat spicy food...
hehe...I'm from Malaysia...If I can't eat spicy food I would have to forfeit 70% of my meals ^^;;

O and I've just completed my bag! Although I'm not really sure about putting the button on though hmm~

I used canvas cloth as the exterior and a padded lining for the interior~

the complete bag body....momo was saying it will get dirty easily...ahh well I don't really mind...I can throw it in the wash...

Its Escapism through Food~

I've seriously been out alot now since the holidays have began, need to cut back!!!!!

Last week went to Shoya to have a nice Japanese luncheon in celebration of Wei-Lin turning another year older!!! muahahahahah old woman!!

I think I had the Ume Bento~ The food at Shoya ain't that bad plus it was lunch so it was cheaper ^_^v

Sashimi piled on top of a literally very frozen lemon half...all of us were so amused by it~

Mainssss!!! I HAD WAGYU BEEF FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! ok..I know I sound like some country bumpkin here...But it tasted soooooo gooodddd <3 and there was a bowl of Jap Fried Rice and a slice of unagi too~

Another nice thing has happened over the holidays, my family friend from Adelaide has arrived in Melb to begin her 6 months training in the kitchen's of Park Hyatt!!

She and her bf had to bunk with me for 2 days cuz she hated the place that me and her sister initially picked out~ But it made life interesting!!

So apparently my little room can have the amazing ability of allowing 3 ppl to co-habitate together...

Amusing Note: Her bf snores really loudly and funnily~ told him it reminded me of sleeping next to my dad's room...so I basically couldn't sleep!! haahhaha

So yesterday we all went to move my friend's stuff to her new-found living accomodations on Flinders and I took her on what she called ~Le Tour Ethel~ lol...

Showed her Degraves St... she was so happy with all the cafe's and shops situated so nicely around her area~

Has lunch at a neat little Italian restaurant called "Il Tempo". It was really quaint and cosy~

Concerning the future activities of ONE OK ROCK

Thank you for continuously supporting ONE OK ROCK. Firstly, we would like to apologize for the concern that we caused you all as well as our delay in reporting to you.

Concerning the incident involving Alex at this time, a portion of the information has been released via the media, but several days ago the verdict ended as a non-prosecution. We apologize once again for causing trouble and anxiety among all of the fans who have been supporting us up until now.

Having received this resolution, the staff members have continued to discuss matters in the past few weeks. From Alex himself there was a request to depart from ONE OK ROCK as a result of reflecting deeply on his responsibilities as a band member and from a feeling of apology for the victim.

The remaining members struggled to accept this decision, but in the end, they resolved to continue the band with the four of them. The conclusion was that the only thing that they could do from themselves was to continue to pass on their music to all of the fans.

As a result of a conference with all parties involved, we have decided to continue on in the preparations that are necessary for resuming activities this summer. Once the date for resuming activities has been decided upon, we will make a formal announcement.

We ask that you continue to support us throughout this time.

Firstly I’d like to apologize to all of the people who are worried for us we for delaying the release of our direct comments to the website.

To be honest, there are still so many things that haven’t been sorted out yet and even now I still feel as if I can’t quite believe everything that is happening. We cried a lot, despaired a lot and betrayed a lot. I feel quite disgusted at myself for all of this and even though I know that I need to face forward, no matter how much I laugh, right now I’m at the point where my true feelings are one of wondering “Was it really this hard to face forward?” This past month we members have talked together as much as was possible, foundered about with the conclusions that we came up with and in turn, supported one another.

The one thing that all of us members had in mind from the very beginning was that “We cannot allow this band to break apart!”. This band has everything that we are wrapped up into it and is the only purely precious thing that we have! We have now because, we love music and no matter what happened we overcame it with music, worked at it with everything that we had, made companions that could help each other out and eventually through many people we were able to support one another. But for now, there’s really too many things that we need to give back to everyone and for a stupid person like me who can’t even study properly, the only way that I can give any of that back is through music. Right now I think that no matter what the situation becomes like, this is the the only thing that won’t change.

From now on, we 4 will be combining our power together to, more than before, give these things back to you all one by one so please continue to support us just as you have up until now as we move on full throttle!!

And guess whatt!!! I just found out that there's this awesome new singer named Mihiko Ishida who did a cover of and ELLEGARDEN song!!! HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!!

she's just awesome~ and an ex-football player!! (I thought she was a man -____-)

abit of info on her:

Mihoko Ishida, a former football player of the Arsenal women's football club, made her debut as a singer in 2008 under TEICHIKU ENTERTAINMENT. Today, she announced her third single..Last summer, Mihoko Ishida distinguished herself with her debut single entitled Ichibanboshi and produced by TAKUYA (the ex-guitarist of JUDY AND MARY). She released a second single at the end of the year: one for ALL which she wrote and composed herself.

I feel like life sucks because:

a) I have piles of work to do
b) I seem to be studying constantly like a nerd
c) I have to pay lots of things
d) I miss home..ALOT
e) I don't think I ought to live as a human being [ not suicidal..yet]

g) I don't see my close friends at all in Uni
h) My bestie is in Japan having a gala time [ she earned it..no hard feelings]

Ahhh~ Easter Break is coming in just a couple of days :3

Unfortunately, I won't be able to have fun due to the fact that I have 4 beautiful essays to slave over =___= which equals to approximately 4,200 words to be written...

I'm so happy aren't I? I mean first year is really a BLAST!!!

I want the Uni to just burn down !!!! Plss just crumble into a heap of dust and be blown away!!

On another sad,depressing and unfortunate note...

I've just found out that Alex of my most favourite JRock band ONE OK ROCK has been arrested on molestation charges a few days ago which has susequently led to their ongoing promotional tour being suspended, an upcoming single " Around the World Shonen" to be dropped by TBS drama "God Hand Teru" as an opening soundtrack and promotions for the said single to be postponed and for the tickets for the concert to be refunded...

sigh...apperenly he was drunk and groped that girls thigh around 8 am while on a train back home...Girl freaked (obviously) and called a police over to arrest him :(

Even though this has happened I sincerely hope that the band won't kick him out over this issue.Its pretty small and has been blown out of proportion due to him being an idol and the Japanese entertainment industry is not known for its forgiveness. You know how people, usually your seniors (students and whatnot) always seem to tell you that beginning University is like the best time of your life. Well, they're pitching that concept a little off the beaten track.

Its in fact almost nothing like that. Maybe it'll EVENTUALLY become like that, but they never seem to mention that the first few months are kind off the hardest.

The whole idea of getting into University is making new friends and experiences. As far as I know, its been pretty darned tough here in university. I kid you not when I say making friends here is really hard. Ask anyone I know. Sure, you've made a few, here and there, but I'm betting you their just your in-class friends or lunch-buddies (that is IF you have any). Apart from that, the most depressing thing is that you usually never or just get to see your old friends every once in a while. The friends which you've known since perhaps high school or college.

I mean, sometimes (all the time) it'll be amazing to just bump into an old pal and just talk nonstop. I for one just wish I can find a friend, a close friend, to just hang out during my lunch breaks or to study. Unfortunately, being in Uni means you get segregated in to faculties of your choice which technically means that you might never get to see those friends unless its by chance. Of course, within each faculty would different amounts of contact hours are given as well as the amount of assignments handed to you.

Being an Arts student, I've got noticeably less contact hours than the close friends in the other faculties. Thus, making it extremely hard to be in contact with any of them. I mean their workload can beat the things I get from my faculty at any given day. Technically, it causes grievious distress to me and would put some kind of strain on the friendship.

Which kind of makes me unhappy for the better part of my University life. So far.

The assignments on the other hand just seem to keep being thrown at you all the time. Its like a game of darts (or something similar). The moment you get an assignment thrown at you and the moment you finish it, ANOTHER gets hurled straight away at you!!

University is quite mentally tiring (I've seemingly accquired the panda eyes for it). Seriously, it drains the energy out of you.

But all of THIS are contradictory because you never know when all of it might change but I highly doubt it'll be anytime soon.

And for the long run... I miss home A LOT, my usual suspects (friends) A LOT, my family A LOT, the food A LOT!! so there's the homesickness...

I'm begging the Easter bunny to hop here faster!! I need sleep...Good nite...

Last weekend I went to the Stitches and Craft Show at the Melbourne Showgrounds....It was really cool...many people were there showcasing all their handiwork, wares, cloths, toys, and all the other handmade knick-knacks...

U have to love the ice cream toy!! its taller than me!!!

I'm so lazy to talk about it...basically I wanted to go with either Emi or Momo but they're no in Melb...so I went with my mom on Saturday and on my own on Sunday..had a gala of a time...Went insane getting business cards from a whole bunch of stalls...

On Wednesday while I was at the library I looked out the window and saw one of the most amazing feats of the world!!

So far..the second week of Uni has been a little better..I'm quite good friends with a friend called Caroline I met in my Jap Lecture... She's really cool and we both have lots of the same interest which is a great friendship starter...Plus she's local but not "ang moh". She's Viet ^_^ which is pretty interesting too..

So thats basically the single (i think the only ups) of my new uni life.....

Oooo Flare seems really fun by the way...hmmm...should i do the jazz routine though ~__~

The one thing I don't really like about beginning uni.. is that all the friends that I've made back in college have either gone to other Uni's to study, are in other courses,have different breaks and etc....and of course, all of that definitely can't be helped...

I really really want to maintain our friendships no matter what...though the crazy timetabling, different times, and emotions tend to place a strain on it...I hope our friendships will make it though....

So ends the first week of University life, what can I say, its not as exciting as it may be (in my opinion though it may have been for some).

I like making new friends. I try always (when I'm in a good mood). I'm not being biased or self-conceited in anyway when it comes to saying "Hello" to some random stranger. They usually say "Hi" back and then we'd go into some short small talk conversation which I don't particularly excel at while the locals REALLY do. and then comes the part where they say "Hi" to another random stranger and hit it off almost instantly and is usually another local. and then I kinda feel lost abit....what to do kinda feeling...

Just out of curiousity. Why is it that we ( the Asian kids have to be the ones to initiate conversations first and introductions all the time) with the locals?? I mean haven't you observed/noticed that its always us who have to say something to break a barrier?? and that the locals don't seem to initiate it?

Not really complaining. Just wanna know why can't they too start something off with us?? Its like that 90% of the time in lectures or tutes...I mean the equilibrium is kind of off don't you think??

They (locals) are nice people....could it be that they don't know what to say to us?? They could try ya know.....we don't bite...

On the 7th of February, I went for my first doll meet with Momo. The meet was set up at Sunway Pyramid's new wing Starbucks.

This was a Post Chinese New Year Doll Meet so a them of " Red or Orange" and special ang pow packets with money were also given ^^

Was really fun and interesting to meet all the dolls there...My dolly Frankie was kinda lonely being the only SD-sized girl doll among the many guy dolls so she basically hung out with Mai the whole time..oh well..

I'm pretty much sure half of the world knows that there's a movie adaptation of Josh Grogan's bestseller "Marley & Me" which is a beautiful memoir for "the world's worst dog", as said by Grogan.

Marley & Me is an incredibly piece of work written with humour (enough to induce crazy laughing), tear-jerking bits, moments of bliss, happiness, anger, tenderness and a whole lot of things that had been inspired by Grogan's pain-in-the-ass loyal yellow blob, Marley.

While reading this book, it literally transports you into the home and lives of the Grogan household (even before the kids arrived) and allows you to literally bear witness to the antics of Marley. The story is told in such a way that you might actually hear the voice of Grogan (or in my case the voice of Owen Wilson), narrating the whole story to me.

All in all, like all the other raving reviewers have said, its a quintessential book for all dog lovers out there, as well as non-dog lovers, simply because that Marley had a big enough heart to embrace and touch readers everywhere and also because he had it written by a guy who dearly loved him.

1. Tessa would be what you call an average American teenage adolescent. A life paved by her parents, mostly her mother, conformed to the way the average American teenage society thinks, wants, discusses, values and understands. Tessa's the type who needs time to grow on you. She won't be liked immediately, but it'll eventually get there.

Tessa's not misguided, she was already an independent girl who was beginning to take matters into her own hands. She just got derailed for some time. Her family would not be exactly dysfunctional nor atypical but somewhere on the fence right between those two. Sometimes you can tell she's learnt how to live with her family's quirks like her image-conscious mother and a brother she just connects on a mostly blood related level. I think that it is unhealthy for a mother to push all the image conscious pressures on to her daughter, but resiliency would be the key for Tessa to take it in a positive manner. Whereby she will know when to accept her for who she is and just take her mother's actions in stride.

2. By Tessa's statement, I would think she could also mean the person she has become and how her life is being decided by what others THINK is beneficial for her. Tessa clearly understands and acknowledges bitterly that her life's decisions and wants would not be accepted. Everything in her life will be dictated by others.

3. Tessa, as a young child would want the full attention of her parents and sibling because she probably felt special. Important. She isn't neglected. Sometimes overshadowed by her outstanding older brother, she probably wants to feel special. Its a want every child wants from her parents. To be dotted upon, loved, cared for and be important.

4. Her moral compass IS broken. She stole from other children out of spite, thrown away items that were prettier than her...(not going to say anymore.)

5. The relationship between Tessa and her friends are at times volatile but the strength of the friendship remains true. At times she may have befriended them out of loneliness, similarities and adoration but in the end her long friendship with them has withstood all the misunderstandings and mishaps she has encountered with Naomi, Stefanie and Eliza.

I definitely think Tessa will become a truly remarkable friend at the end of her ethereal journey of discovery. She may have to work at it bit by bit, not only on her own two awkward feet but also alongside her family and friends, but I know that she will turn out to be a great person. Why?...

Because she's discovered that she really has the nerve to be a better person. A little guidance back to the right track has shown her that. And now she's going to take the iniative to bring it all back to perspective.

Life's not about driving down a well-paved road. Its about driving a road filled with potholes and unevenness to come out successful in the end for having learnt and achieve a goal.

6. If I were Tessa, I'd probably turn out most likely like her. Unfortunate as that may sound. (Won't elaborate further..) Tessa has often viewed herself in a negative sense undermining her achievements by stressing on material things like body image. Body image consciousness only goes so far....too far, it turns rotten.

However, in the end she begins to remember all the optimistic events that she has overlooked and begins to see herself as a person who will want to be better in the future.

7. Tessa will have felt remorse for the things that she has done in the past. Whether or not she will confess about them will be her own doing and another story. Tessa has learnt what she could about herself and how good it is to know that its great to let down your defenses sometimes and be happy with who you are.

I know she'll be a better person. :)

Book Reviews (Amateur POV):

Recently I got to read books from the highly acclaimed author Meg Rosoff ( who looks like Pat to me) who has created the following three books which are all highly revered and have been given top honours and awards.

Just In Case is Rosoff's second book which follows her highly successful debutorial of her first book How I Live Now. The story depicts a young boy who becomes afraid of life, due to a highly unusual event which triggers an alarm in him that fate is out there to get him. Rosoff created a very unusual yet poignant story of the dilenmas one faces and the journey it will lead you to.

What I Was is an award-winning novel about the discovery of love. Love is often found in the oddest of times, places and persons. Rosoff weaves an intricate and surprising story about the discovery of self and of love in a place that is timeless and imaginative. Its a complete classic and definitely original.

I haven't read the book yet...But I like it anyhow...the title already makes me want to read it..been meaning too..just never got around to it..

For the book lovers out there, who are tired of reading the same old things. Pick up Meg Rosoff, her books are a definite good read. The stories are all thoughtfully written with timeless characters and titles that suit it.

Hello Everybody!!!

My Blog has been dead for awhile hahaha~

So anyways I'm so excited to be blogging that I'm actually watching the Live Streaming of Barack Obama's Inauguration as the 44th President of the United States via CNN LIVE!!

I don't know why I'm happy...but its awesome to watch History unfold right before your very eyes even though you live half way across the world!!

And also You've seriously got to be amazed by technology and how great it is that Facebook partnered up with CNN LIVE..hahaha

Yay!! Go Obama!! Cheers to the first Black/ African-American President~
Hope he does well and doesn't end up like the shrub...Bush...

This starting to be a major pain in the ass....the internet bloody sucks so much here its going at a measly snail pace of 8.9 glorious Kilobytes per second...I could kill myself, I really should.. The length required for the entire series of Gundam00 Season 1 to finish downloading is a whopping 1 friggin week and 5 crap days!!!

I have nothing exciting to watch, my BJD hasn't arrived, much less left country of its origin; I'm bored senseless, I've been burying my eyes/nose into FP (for days upon end) and the only thing I can look forward to (Thank God!!) is Ballet....

BOOKS are essentially the most basic resources of knowledge and imagination. Imagination encompassed by words of an author who weaves their threads of ideas, thoughts, plots, characters, events, into a well-spun story depicting and detailing the lives of their characters and their subtle morales and ideals through them. In all, authors are like spiders thought spin out an idea of what they want into words that turns into a personal masterpiece.

I love books. That's the plain and simple answer. It always starts out small your parents picking out books that may or may not suit your tastes as you've yet to find out. Then, you hit an age where you want to get want YOU want. Basically, it started out with Enid Blyton and then it grew to L.M. Montgomgomery and then it grew until I embraced a whole world of word-filled wonder which was able to transport me into different dimensions, countries, worlds or whatever you like to call it.

I'd like to thank my dad for that opportunity. The opportunity to realise and cherish the meaning of books in a world ariddled with technological advances and gadgetry...

Reading a book, whatever genre it may be, can take you places and sometimes if its written well, it'll begin to unfold right before your very eyes. Battles on wide plains, the smell of a lush field, the feelings of the characters, and other mind-boggling events can allow a reader to have a justified understanding to what the author really wants to tell us.

So right now my mindless writing is incredibly scattered, pay no attention please. Bottomline is pick up a book of interest, sit your butt down and allow yourself to plunge down into a deep, deep unknown place.

Second day of Comic Fiesta was pretty good....a nice turn out of cosplayers....some from Singapore, Taiwan (i think) and of course, the locals...

The MC's for the day were amusing as per usual...

Yesterday I turned 18 !!!!...another year older *sigh*

The birthday day was spent sleeping till 10:30 am..waking up...thinking of what to do...my wonderful day was presented with a bleeding issue...and my hp got barred on the day itself...rriiiiteee~ not a good way to start a birthday but anyways I got a Jamie Oliver cookbook from my mom, the Loli skirt from my dad, a jewelry stand from Auntie Jacklyn, Domo-kun from Emily, Nightmare Before Chirstmas keychains from Momo and a place to sleep from Jun....hahaaha...

oh Jun just gave me a blue octopus toy :3

hahahahhaha..

well another year older..hopefuly another year wiser...there's no difference becoming older now...as I have before as usual....ButI certainly dislike turning 18..because now everything is legal, responsilities and personal conduct have higher expectations and life is gonna not be as fun as being underaged I suppose...

Though some say it opens new doors ..some doors have to close...cue sadness~

ah well..I shall have to bear with this aging thing...."Age is just a number" (Dad:2008) ....

Anyways..would like to thank all the wonderfull crazy ass people I've known for wishing me a Happ Birthday!!
